“Blue Jay In Bloom”
This bold little blue jay, was brought to life during one of my recent watercolor courses. A reminder of why I fell in love with painting birds in the first place. There’s just something about the jays, their spunky attitude, vibrant feathers, and that “I run this garden” energy that makes them so fun to paint. With it’s striking cobalt feathers and curious gaze, the blue jay has always felt like the sassiest guest in my garden, bold, vocal and full of personality!
Set against a dreamy periwinkle background with hints of texture and whimsy, this piece is all about celebrating the beauty and sass of birds! It’s a sweet little nod to the everyday magic found in our feathered friends. If you’re a bird lover like me, or just love a splash of color, this blue jay might be your next favorite wall buddy.
