A Timeless Texas Treasure In Watercolor

A Timeless Texas Treasure In Watercolor

Some places hold stories so beautiful, they deserve to be captured forever… and this latest commissioned piece is one of them I had the honor of painting The Adelphia (1875) a stunning historic estate nestled in Lampasas, Texas 🇺🇸. T his 9×12 watercolor on paper was commissioned by a bride’s best friend as a heartfelt wedding gift – a meaningful way to celebrate a place where love and history come together so beautifully. With the big day just around the corner, this piece will soon become part of a very special beginning

Built by John Markward for the love of his life, Adelphia, and the very place they married on the front steps in 1881, this home carries a legacy of romance that continues today Surrounded by towering century-old oak trees and lovingly restored, The Adelphia is more than a venue, it’s a place where memories are made and stories are passed down. As I painted, I couldn’t help but reflect on the layers of love woven into this home, from its origins to the new chapter it’s about to witness.

If you have a meaningful place, home, or memory you’d love turned into a one-of-a-kind watercolor, I would be honored to create something just for you With gratitude, Maya… Maya’s Artbeat
