A New Home, A New Painting & New Friends

Watercolor daisies on textured beige paper

Hello, Friends!

Hello, friends!

First, I want to extend a very warm welcome to everyone who has recently joined me. I’m so happy you’re here! Whether you found me through one of my watercolor workshops, an art show, social media, or through a friend, thank you for following along and supporting my creative journey.

I recently created this small mixed-media painting especially for my new home. I’m slowly putting together a gallery wall filled with artwork and pieces that feel meaningful to me, and I knew this little bouquet of daisies would be a lovely addition.

The painting combines acrylic and watercolor on watercolor paper. I had previously seen a similar idea that stayed with me, so I decided to create my own interpretation, using soft, earthy colors, delicate flowers, and torn edges to give it the timeworn, vintage feeling I love.

There is something especially rewarding about making artwork for my own space. This piece may be small, but it represents creativity, fresh beginnings, and the joy of making my new home feel like mine.

I’ll be sharing the completed gallery wall in the future as it comes together. For now, I hope you enjoy this little first look!

Thank you for being here and for continuing to encourage my art. I’m excited to share more paintings, commissions, workshops, and glimpses behind the scenes with you.

With love and creativity,

Maya
